Anxiety Management

We all experience anxiety sometimes. It’s that feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease that can cause physical symptoms like sweating, restlessness, and a racing heart. It’s a natural response to stressful situations, like facing a school challenge, an upcoming test, or a big decision.

How Counselling Can Help :

  • Learn to explore and identify triggers to your anxiety.
  • Understand your child or teen’s negative thought pattern that fuels anxiety and explore strategies to help them manage them.
  • Guide your child or teen in developing coping skills when faced with anxiety.

What to expect on the first visit?

Our first session is all about getting to know your child and building a strong foundation for their journey. Through engaging questions and creative tools, we’ll work together to uncover the root causes behind their challenges.

By the end of the session, we’ll have a better idea of why your child might be acting a certain way. This helps us create a special plan just for them.

We’ll develop a tailored plan specifically designed to address your child’s unique needs.

  • A court of law orders the counselor to disclose information.

How do I prepare my child or teen for counselling?

Children and teens often have a misconception that they have to attend counselling because they did something wrong or they are bad.

  • Teens: Explain that counselling is a common way for people to build skills and cope with challenges. Let them know it’s a safe space to talk about anything on their mind. Consider offering a trial period of a few sessions to see if they find it helpful.
  • Younger Children: Frame counselling as a fun opportunity to play games and learn new skills with a friendly adult.
How many sessions of counselling do I need to attend?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer! The number of sessions will vary depending on the person’s specific needs and the complexity of the situation. We’ll work with you to develop a personalized plan.
